On her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/melody\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MySpace<\/a> page she talks about the term disability. She, like many in our community, disavows it\u2013\u201cThe very word is self-demoting.\u201d But, by saying anything about disability she outs herself in a way that very, very few contemporary artists do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/melody\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MySpace<\/a> page has only one picture of herself using her cane.
