Penngrove California: In the latest news from the Penngrove Disabled Action Brigade, the advocacy group has once again published holiday greetings. It is a long-standing tradition, going back to when the organization was known as the Penngrove Handicapped Social Club. For now, the Brigade has shelved their universal healthcare/public option advocacy fight. Instead, their primary political goal is to fight the “Bring Back the Ice Floe” movement.
In other club news, the nominating committee has yet to report out on the nomination of H. D. de Notre Dame to the Brigade. Informally, the chair of the nominating has said the committee is still struggling with the nomination. He reported that their heads say, “yes,” but their hearts say, “no, no, no.” No action is expected until after the holiday season.
The Penngrove Disabled Action Brigade evolved from the Penngrove Handicapped Social Club during the Reagan years. They sold the pool table and discontinued bingo games. The latest political climate has reinvigorated the club to take a more political stance and work for political change.
